Welcome The history of chocolate covered pretzels is difficult to pinpoint, however the earliest recording of pretzels can be traced back to a monastery somewhere in the region of Southern France and Northern Italy as far back as 610 AD. The original version of the pretzel was a strip of dough, given to children for memorizing parts of the Bible. It was called 'pretiola' which is Latin for reward. The pretiola quickly gained popularity and was made in other parts of Europe such as Germany, where it took on the German name, bretzel. And along the way, the bretzel and the pretiola became the pretzel! Our chocolate covered pretzels come in a variety of flavors, from dark, white, semi-sweet or milk chocolate, and lets not forget the amazing topping options we have graced each of these products with. And, as a natural genesis, you can also enjoy the same savory flavors on our krispies as you do with our pretzels. |
